Episode 3: Shaken, Not Stirred
James Bond may have preferred his martinis shaken, not stirred... but that order would be met with a blank stare in most fine cocktail bars. Find out why as we explore exactly whether shaking or stirring is a better fit for a particular cocktail. We'll make riffs on two classic cocktails: one famous stirred drink (the Tribeca – a Manhattan riff using our cherry bark vanilla bitters) and one famous shaken drink (the Luchador – a margarita riff using our raspberry ginger shrub). But we'll be making things more interesting by splitting each drink in two, stirring one half, and shaking the other – so we can all find out exactly why it matters. Plus, we'll make our next bitters: coffee pecan.
