Flashback kits!
Our live shows are on hiatus for a bit, but you can still get in on the fun!
If you missed a season of Sother Hospitality, want to revisit one of your favorite episodes, or never had a chance to participate in the live shows, this is your chance! Re-live prior seasons in all their glory with our Flashback Kits.
We've made a Flashback Kit available for every past season of Sother Hospitality! Here's a breakdown of what each season covers.
-
Season 1: Introduction to Bitters
This season starts off with the basics – what are bitters, how can we make them at home, and why do they matter. We'll build 4 unique bitters (Ango Analog, Citrus, Pear/Ginger, and BBQ), 11 cocktails, and a few delicious sauces and entrees as we explore how you can use your knowledge of cocktails to spice things up in the kitchen.
-
Season 2: Introduction to Cordials and Shrubs
Season 2 picks up where Season 1 left off, expanding from bitters into other key members of your sidebar: cordials and shrubs. You'll make 4 new bitters (Cherry Bark Vanilla, Bergamot Mango, Coffee Pecan, and MinTea), 2 cordials (Toasted Orange Hazelnut and Spiced Pineapple Banana), 2 shrubs (Fig + Thyme and Raspberry Ginger), 14 all-new cocktails, and two tasty breakfast dishes that incorporate our cocktail ingredients.
-
Season 3: Expanding Your Cocktail Horizons
Season 3 is all about pushing the envelope with even more interesting ingredients and unexpected applications. You'll create 3 new bitters (Szechuan Five Spice, Habanero, and Roasted Apple), 2 cordials (Horchata and Fruitcake), 2 shrubs (Pineapple and Mango Chipotle), 1 syrup, 2 desserts, and 15 absurdly tasty cocktails.
-
Season 4: Details & Advanced Techniques
This season goes deep on more advanced, exciting techniques: smoking, oaking, batching, five different techniques for making syrups, and more. You'll build 4 new bitters (Damascus, Floral Print, Baker's, and Peppercorn), 5 syrups (each using a different technique), 1 new shrub, 1 cocktail garnish, and a whopping 19 cocktails – most created specifically for this season.
Tell me more...
Sother Hospitality is an interactive community of cocktail lovers, a cocktail R&D lab, and a masterclass in cocktail craft. Over four seasons as a live interactive online show, Sother and our audience explored every corner of the cocktail universe.
The live show is currently on hiatus, but you can still participate in all of our past seasons! Each season teaches you cool techniques and shows you how to use them to create a bunch of tasty, unique cocktail ingredients.
You'll learn how to make your own bitters, cordials, shrubs, and more – plus tons of new cocktails featuring those ingredients. The show also explores the wider world of spirits, from cocktail applications in the kitchen to how to use lesser-known items in the liquor cabinet.
You can participate by ordering a Flashback Kit for one of our prior seasons, which contains all the special ingredients you'll need to create everything we make that season (you'll need to supplement the kit with alcohol as well as grocery items like fresh fruit, sugar, and coffee).
Each Flashback Kit includes a link to a detailed online guide for that season, with thorough notes on what to prepare for each episode and recipes for everything we create on the show.
For the full experience, we recommend that you also join our Subscriber Portal, which will give you access to recordings of every live episode we ever did. You can create the ingredients and cocktails with the Flashback Kit on its own, but you'll have much more fun – and learn a lot more – by making everything alongside Sother and the rest of the audience. Whether you’re a beginner eager to learn the basics or an expert looking for advanced techniques and novel recipes, Sother Hospitality is right for you!
